Nina Hossain to Host Asian Media Awards Ceremony

Broadcaster and journalist Nina Hossain is to host the 2016 Asian Media Awards ceremony.

Nina is currently the main presenter on London TonightIn addition, Nina also presents ITV Lunchtime News and regularly presents ITV News at Ten.

Nina said, “I am delighted to be hosting the 2016 AMA ceremony in the wonderful city of Manchester.

“It will be a real pleasure to be amongst some of my peers and honour the important work of media professionals from across the UK.”

Born in 1973 in Huddersfield Nina studied English Language and Linguistics at Durham University, before gaining a postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston.

In 2001 she took on a post at BBC London News and went on to present BBC London’s flagship evening news programme.

Nina moved to ITN in November 2004 to present on ITV London, ITV News and the ITV News Channel.

She temporarily took over as main presenter of London Tonight in July 2010, a role which was later made permanent.

Winners and recipients of AMA special awards will be announced at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate on Thursday 27 October.
