Paul Chowdhry’s ‘Live Innit’ tour won the Best Live Event award at the 2018 Asian Media Awards.
The Asian Media Awards ceremony took place at the Manchester Hilton Deansgate (Thursday October 25) attracting journalists, broadcasters and media professionals from across the country.
The 2018 Best Live Event, supported by ITV shortlist featured comedy, food, a major historical exhibition and a musical extravaganza.
Paul sent a video thanking his fellow nominees in his own imitable style. The winner was announced by 2017 Best Newcomer winner Bhavin Bhatt.
It was going to take something special to follow on from PC’s World, Paul Chowdhry’s 2015 100 date sell-out tour. But ‘Live Innit’ was something a little special.
It sees Paul Chowdhry at his best tackling everything from dating in the cyber-age to how Brexit is changing Britain.
The sell-out tour took in the length and breadth of the country with shows at the Symphony Hall (Birmingham), the Eventim Apollo Hammersmith, the O2 Apollo Manchester and Wembley Arena.
The success of the show saw extra dates announced in 2018.
Winners and recipients of AMA special awards were announced at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate on Thursday 25 October.
Previous recipients of an Asian Media Award include Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Waris Hussein, Art Malik, Mehdi Hasan, Nina Wadia and Anita Rani.
