Applications Open for High-end TV Skills Regional Step-up to Production Management Programme

Applications for a regional training programme for Production Management Assistants (PMA’s) and Production Co-ordinators is open.

The Pipeline training hub (University of Salford) is being commissioned by ScreenSkills, the industry-led skills body for the UK’s screen industries to deliver a new regional training programme for Production Management Assistants (PMA’s) and Production Co-ordinators in the High-end TV sector.

The Regional High-end TV Step-up to Production Management programme is supported by the ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund with contributions from UK high-end TV productions and delivered by The Pipeline (The University of Salford).

The Step-up to Production Management programme is targeted at participants from the Nations and Regions to support career development within the production management sector. The programme consists of 10-days online training from 22nd Nov – 3 Dec 2021 delivered by an industry practitioner followed by a 10-week paid placement from January 2022 at a UK High-end TV production company.

The application process is now open for candidates from the Nations and Regions. The programme is keen to encourage applications from people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; participants with a disability; Black, Asian and Minority Ethic (BAME) applicants and LGBTQ+ and non-binary candidates.

This is a highly competitive programme with 15 training places available for PMA’s and Production Co-ordinators who are ready to step up into the role of Production Manager. The training dates are fixed so please only apply if you can commit to the full 10-days online training and a 10-week paid placement beginning January 2022.

The Pipeline (University of Salford) provides industry-designed and delivered CPD (Continuing Professional Development) short courses and Masterclasses for professional’s keen to enhance skills to meet the demands of the burgeoning TV, Film and content creation industries.  Based in MediaCityUK in Salford, alongside the BBC, ITV and over 250 digital and media businesses, our studios and specialist spaces are equipped with industry standard hardware and software, playing a central role in the delivery of our courses in Audio, Vision, Craft and Career Development.

The Asian Media Awards return on Friday October 29 at the Emirates Old Trafford Manchester.

The official Shortlist Announcement will be made on Monday September 20.
