Media Hive were named Media Agency of the Year at the 2016 Asian Media Awards.
The AMA’s recognise excellence in the media with categories in journalism, online, radio, television and marketing. The awards are sponsored by the University of Salford and took place the Hilton Manchester Deansgate.
Channel Four News Correspondent Fatima Manji was named Media Personality of the Year and she was joined by a whole host of stars from TV, film and radio including Art Malik and Nitin Ganatra.
Established in 2015 Media Hive has in a short time established itself as one of the leading media agencies in its field.
The company is the coming together of four industry specialists – Puja Vedi, Tony Gill, Arika Murtza and Samir Ahmed.
In a year, the company has managed PR and marketing for a whole host of film, entertainment and events.
The team were presented the award on the night by weatherman Alex Beresford and actress Leitita Hector who will feature in ITV2’s Dropperz this week.
Puja Vedi said on behalf of the team, “It is an incredible honour. We are still in our first year of launching and this is our first award so it feels really good be recognised in front of our peers and by our peers.
“I think we have made quite an impact over the past year. We have been blessed with some great clients and we are a great team and we are blessed to have found one another.”
Their extensive list of campaigns features movies, film stars and charitable causes with royal connections.
Among the many highlights have been PR campaigns for the release of Bollywood blockbuster Fan, where a press conference was arranged at Madame Tussauds; The Asian Awards, the annual event celebrating Pan Asian excellence and most recently the launch of series ‘24’ on Colors TV UK, for which Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor flew down to London for the promotions.
During the British Asian Trust Royal Gala Dinner in Mumbai this April, Media Hive was on hand to co-ordinate PR for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s visit to India.
The University of Salford are premier sponsors to the 2016 events and partners include ITV, MediaCom, Press Association Training and the Manchester Evening News.
The official charity partners for 2016 are The Asian Circle and Oxfam.
