Students with an interest in journalism are being asked to apply for £5000 scholarship.
Students joining the Multimedia Journalism Degree at MMU (Manchester Metropolitan University) this September are eligible for a £5000 scholarship.
The Al-Hadeeb Scholarship was set-up by Mohammed Habeebullah OBE, JP and aims to encourage champion issues facing the black and ethnic minority communities in the UK. It is available to anyone and anyone who has gained a place on the MA Multimedia course.
To apply for the Al-Habeeb Scholarship you must first apply to, and receive an offer of a place on, the full-time MA Multimedia Journalism degree programme at Manchester Metropolitan University for 2013 entry.
The course is open to graduates of all disciplines are equipped with knowledge and skills in journalism through intensive practical training and tuition.
It can be completed one year full-time and two years part-time.
It is designed to meet the requirements of the Broadcast Journalism Training Council and is taught by dedicated staff with media and industry experience, and strong professional connections.
This course will prepare you to take a leading role in a rapidly evolving global media industry and explore the global potential of multi-platform news publishing.
It will teach you how to cover any story for print, web and broadcast and, crucially and how to adapt a story from one medium to another.
The course has a strong emphasis on new media with online course materials and research information, encouraging students to use their multimedia skills whilst learning.
