As an award winning journalist Anisa has worked across numerous BBC outlets and independent production companies over her vast career catering to national and international audiences.
Her broadcast career began in radio co presenting the Saturday morning breakfast show in 1986 at BRMB in Birmingham before joining the BBC in 2007.
As presenter and reporter for the BBC’s World Service she told stories with a focus on social media and misinformation. She was instrumental in the launch of the BBC’s first Digital Current Affairs unit where she was executive producer and director for short form features and long form documentaries for iPlayer.
As Senior News Editor for BBC News Investigations, Anisa commissions and oversees high impact, original and revelatory journalism that uncovers wrongdoing by individuals and institutions.
